Peter Grimes
As ever we relished performing with Kensington Symphony Orchestra, in the Queen Elizabeth Hall at Southbank Centre, this time providing the chorus for Britten’s opera Peter Grimes.
For many this was a bucket list piece, that we would never as choral singers ever expect to get to perform.
We were spoiled by a dazzling cast, many of them chorus members of English National Opera and jaw-dropping in their vocal and acting talents.
Epiphoni were described as “excellent” in Classical Source’s glowing review of the whole performance.
Our next orchestra outings are with Echo on 25th March (MacMillan’s Seven Last Words from the Cross) and then on 7th May for a Coronation celebration at the Royal Albert Hall with the LPO!
